Target Zero
The construction industry faces an unprecedented challenge to significantly reduce the greenhouse gas emissions generated from our built environment. The objective is clear and the targets set, but there is a lack of reliable data to inform the technical decisions that need to be made.

The BCSA and Corus have recognised this problem and resolved to fill the gap. We have commissioned AECOM to lead a £1 million pound, three year development project to generate fully detailed and costed solutions for five building types to meet the emissions reduction targets set out by government towards the ultimate aspiration of zero carbon by 2019.
Guidance for each of the building types will be produced, with the first report for schools due to appear in late 2009. If you are interested in this guidance then please register to receive notification as it becomes available.
