This is a new era for the construction industry as governments’ world-wide move to formalise their carbon emission targets for the future and introduce legislation to ensure implementation of new, challenging standards.

With carbon emissions making regular headlines, measures to tackle this increasingly crucial issue are being set up across many industries, with the construction industry a key area for change.

In a bid to reduce carbon in buildings, the UK government and other leading bodies have identified a stage-by-stage approach, with a view to ultimately reaching zero carbon levels. Clearly this is a big challenge for the construction industry and one that has quickly reached the top of the agenda.
